Mountain branch---Wudang Qingwei Taoist Temple: The Cradle and Future of Traditional Martial Arts and Health Preservation
Nestled in the back mountains of Qiongtai (Cable Car) temple in the Wudang Mountain Scenic Area, Wudang Qingwei Taoist Temple is surrounded by mountains on three sides, resembling a hidden paradise. With its simple and elegant architectural style, this site serves as the cultivation place of Taoist Priest Zhong Yunlong and a sacred land for martial artists, health preservation enthusiasts, and practitioners of Taoism.
Taoist Priest Zhong Yunlong deeply understands the precious value of traditional culture and Wudang martial arts, thus long dedicating himself to the complete preservation and orthodox inheritance of these cultures. To further promote Wudang culture, he established the "Advanced Training Class for Wudang Martial Arts and Tai Chi Health Preservation Coaches" at Wudang Qingwei Taoist Temple, aiming to cultivate more outstanding inheritors of martial arts and health preservation. This initiative injects new vitality into the inheritance and development of Wudang martial arts and Taoist culture. During their studies, students delve into Wudang martial arts and health preservation techniques in (simple and solemn) environment, experiencing the profound heritage of Taoist culture.
In terms of the study plan, the Wudang Traditional Martial Arts Class features a clear training system. Starting from basic skills, students gradually master core techniques such as hand movements, eye coordination, body posture, methods, and footwork, while deeply studying Wudang internal martial arts, weapon skills, Tai Chi systems, and Taoist health preservation exercises. The entire learning process emphasizes practical teaching and closed-door cultivation, striving to achieve the goal of integrating literary and martial arts.
